Women's bootcut jeans from COMYCOM
From the introduction of flared trousers into the fashion world in the 1970s to bootcut jeans, which became a major fashion topic in the early 2000s: Flared jeans have been an integral part of fashion for decades. 20 years after the first trend wave of bootcut pants, they experienced their big revival. We offer you a large selection of women's bootcut jeans in different colors, washes and cuts.
What characterizes the real bootcut cut?
The term 'bootcut' came into being in the 90s and was introduced as a more subtle variation of flared trousers. Bootcut jeans, like flared trousers, are characterized by wide ends at the bottom of the trouser legs.
The name of the bootcut jeans already contains “Boots”, in German “Stiefel”. Jeans with a “boot cut” are particularly suitable if you wear boots with a high shaft height. It is only thanks to this enlarged leg opening that such trousers can be easily put on over any boot shaft. Furthermore, your boots will be shown to their best advantage thanks to the loosely fitting trouser ends.
The terms “bootcut pants” and “flare pants” are often used interchangeably. However, in our Comycom shop we have decided to clearly separate the two cuts. Since there are a wide variety of leg widths, especially when it comes to foot width or the so-called "flare", interested parties should have these presented separately and clearly at this point.
Our flared trousers are noticeably wider at the end of the leg than our bootcut jeans. Above the knees, both jeans versions have a loose to tight-fitting cut (
Slim Fit,
Regular Fit or
Comfort Fit). For our bootcut jeans this means a “flare width” of approx. 24.5 cm to a maximum of 32 cm, simply measured as the diameter of the leg opening. The foot width or flare depends on the selected waist width and length of the bootcut jeans trousers.
In comparison, our flared trousers start at 34 cm and go up to a whopping 42 centimeters. Our shop range also includes trousers with even wider leg cuffs. We conveniently call this type of jeans “mega-flare pants”. The flare widths of the mega flared trousers vary between 42 and 52 centimeters. (simply measured)
